The following animals were lost or found in the Gaston County area.  These pets are not being held at Animal Control, rather they are being kept by the person or persons who found them.   If you have any information on any of the pets listed below, please contact using the number(s) provided.  If you have lost or found a pet and would like to post information concerning it online, email webmaster@co.gaston.nc.us and include the pet's breed, gender, color and characteristic markings, area lost/found, pet name, contact information, and any other pertinent information concerning the loss.  You may include a photo of the pet in either JPG, PNG or GIF format.
Note: The date listed beside the animal is the date the information was posted and does not necessarily reflect the date the animal was actually lost or found.  If you lost your pet and it was not wearing identification, you must come to the shelter to see if it is there. Animal Control holds animals with no identification for 3 business days. Business hours are Mon-Fri 11am-5pm, and the first Saturday of each month 10am-2pm.

Pomeranian (3/10/10)
Gender: Male
Color: Orange with white undercoat
Age: 5 years
Dog is named Semba. He has been missing since June 12, 2009 from Johnston street located off Ruby Ave. and Marietta in Gastonia.

Color: Black, tan, and white
Age: 1 and a half years
His name is Buddy. He went missing from the Oak Grove Rd. area in Kings Mountain on 3/9/2010.

Cocker Spaniel (3/8/10)
Gender: Female
Color: Black with white on chest and chin
Age: 9 years
Answers to the name Sassy. She went missing from Northwoods River area in Kings Mountain on 2/27/2010. She has chronic ear problems and needs medication. She also has torn ACL in her right hind leg which needs surgery. REWARD offered

Color: Black with some white on paws and chest
Age: ~1 year or less
Found on 2/16 at Rankin Lake Park.  She was wearing a mostly teal collar with some black.

Color: Black and brown with thin white strip across chest
Age: ~ 6 months |
She has a spayed mark on her tummy.  She is very well mannered and appears to be house broken. Found in Stanley off Black Snake Road on February 18, 2010.
