The Fire Marshal provides fire protection by coordinating and directing the activities of the 21 volunteer fire departments. The Fire Marshal coordinates the training of the volunteers as well as investigates fires of a suspicious nature. In the area of fire prevention, the Fire Marshal conducts fire inspections of schools, day care centers, foster homes, commercial buildings and records any violations and assures corrections.
