PAY SCALE: $13.66-$21.17 per hour (Non-exempt-Eligible for overtime)

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (The duties listed below are not all of the duties that may be assigned to the position but are those that are considered to be essential for an employee to perform.)

· Administers tests and immunization which includes daily interviewing of patients, responding to questions, delivering appropriate medications and administering vaccines, obtaining vital signs and collection and labeling specimens; performs tests and treatment and document information in patient records.

· Provides test results information to patients to include daily documentation of results, contacting patients and explaining results; follow-up on plan of care developed by the RN or MD, discusses treatment options and schedules follow-up appointments.

· Conducts awareness and education programs, including on-site screenings and technical assistance, to health care facilities and institutions under the direction of the RN.

· Prepares and submits reports related to service provision.

· Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

· Performs work during emergency/disaster situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Proof of education is no longer required at the time of application unless specified as part of the minimum qualifications; however, proof of education is required if employment is offered.

Requires a diploma from an accredited school of practical nursing; an unrestricted LPN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and at least one year of experience. A copy of the LPN license will be required with the application. A valid driver’s license is required. The candidates selected must undergo and pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check prior to employment.

Preference will be given to Spanish speaking applicants.
