PAY SCALE:                                    $10.38 per hour (Non Exempt - Eligible for overtime)

 

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:           Part Time (19 hours per week/Afternoon Hours)

                                      Not eligible for medical insurance, leave or retirement benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  (NOTE:  The duties listed below are not all of the duties assigned to the position but are those that are considered as essential for an employee to perform).

·         Use microcomputers, typewriters or data entry terminals to type memos, reports and other correspondence in rough draft or final copy format.

·         Enters, updates and retrieves information utilizing a computerized record keeping system as needed.

·         Answers phones, distributes messages accurately.

·         Responds to general inquiries and refers to correct person or department.

·         Prepares material for mailing by utilizing automated equipment; processes and distributes mail.

·         Files general correspondence, requisitions and payables in correct location and retrieves information as needed.

·         Files Ambulance Call Reports in correct location.

·         Prepares Ambulance Call Reports for archiving.

·         Maintains office and forms supplies and prepares supply quotes.

·         Performs other work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalency AND a minimum of one year of clerical experience.  Experience in archiving and the use of laser fiche devices is desired. Candidate is required to have knowledge of business math computations and ability to prepare spreadsheets and reports. Must have good communications skills, the ability to understand and follow directions (written and oral) and the ability to maintain confidentiality and to work independently. A valid driver’s license is desired, but not required. Designation as a Notary Public is also desired. A typing test with a score of at least 45 wpm will be administered in the HR Office prior to submitting an application.

The candidate selected must undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug screening test prior to employment.
