Facility Reservations

Picnic Shelters:
Covered picnic shelters are located in the Dallas Park (four), North Belmont Park (three), Tryon Park (two), and the Bessemer City Park (two). Reservations are taken for the eleven covered picnic shelters on a first come first serve basis. Gaston County residents may reserve large shelters (40' x 40') for $30 for a half day or $60 for a whole day. Small shelters (20'x 20') may be reserved for $15 for a half day or $30 for a whole day. County Holiday reservations are $50 for a half day or $75 for a whole day for large shelters only. Out-of-county residents may reserve large shelters for $60 for a half day or $120 for a whole day. Small shelters may be reserved for $30 for a half day or $60 for a whole day. County Holiday reservations are $100 for a half day or $150 for a whole day for large shelters only. BallFields:
The Softball Field and Soccer Field reservations are taken on a first come first basis. There is no charge for youth teams to reserve a field for practice. Adult teams will be charged $5/hour for practice reservations. The charge to reserve a field for league play for Gaston County residents is $25 per day per field. For out-of-county residents, the charge is $50 per day per field. Tournament fees are $50 per field per day in county, $100 per field per day out of county. There is a minimum $15.00 per hour charge for use of lights. Youth teams will be billed $5 per hour for lights. There is a $25.00 key deposit which is refundable upon return of the key. Equestrian Facilities:
The equestrian facilities located in the Dallas park can be reserved by calling the Recreation Department. In County Fees include a $150.00 per day charge for use of the arena, $100.00 per night for use of lights, $10.00 per stall, per day, or partial day, $15.00 per day for RV Hookups, and a $200.00 clean up fee. Out of Count Fees include a $200.00 per day charge for use of the arena, $100.00 per night for use of lights, $10.00 per stall, per day, or partial day, $15.00 per day for RV Hookups, and a $200.00 clean up fee.For more information call 704-922-2160.
