Absentee Voting There are two ways a voter may vote absentee. They are mail-out absentee and one-stop absentee. For mail-out, a written request that includes the voter's name, residence address, address for ballot to be mailed, date of birth, phone number, and signature is required to be sent to our office at PO Box 1396, Gastonia , NC 28053. The written request may also be made by a near relative. For one-stop voting, a voter appears at one of our one one-stop sites, signs an application, and votes.
