Maps & GIS

Gaston County maintains and distributes a large number of maps and aerial photography, for both internal use and public information. The following maps are available online:

• Interactive GIS Website - This feature allows the user to query tax information by owner name and tax identification number.  Query results include information such as owner name, address, deed book number, tax identification number, etc.  The user may also view an interactive map of the property.  The map may then be manipulated by using zoom in/out, pan, and other controls as well as the option to turn on/off layers. 
• Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM)
• Gaston County Police Community Crime Maps - Weekly crime maps are posted in PDF format which display all burglaries and larcenies reported to the Gaston County Police Department.
• Municipalities - Includes individual boundary maps in PDF format of the municipal areas within Gaston County.
• Gaston County 911 Atlas - The Gaston County 911 Atlas was developed for the purpose of providing accurate field maps to assist public safety personnel in the proper and efficient execution of their duties and was prepared by the Planning & Development Services Department in cooperation with the Gaston County Police Department and Gaston County Emergency Management. The file is approximately 99M and may require a long time to download.  The 911 Atlas is also available for purchase on CD at a cost of $25.  Please call 704-866-3770 to order a copy.
