This 1946 Maid of Cotton gown is on display at the "Carolinas Textile Exhibit - The Ties That Bind" at the Gaston County Museum of Art and History. The Maid of Cotton traveled the country with an all cotton wardrobe to promote the area's textile industry. This gown is on loan to the museum by Gwin Barnwell Dalton who was the 1946 Maid of Cotton.
